My Story
What I do:
I typically start my day by reading emails and checking my calendar, but after that, there is no "typical" day. There’ll be days where I’m deep in the trenches of a complex Excel workbook or researching a newly issued hot accounting standard, while other days I might be meeting clients or solving a plethora of business challenges.
How I do it:
The first step in being a trusted advisor for my clients is to have 100% clarity and understanding for their unique and varied business needs. Only with this clear understanding can I offer them top level professional service and the best possible outcomes.
Why I do it:
I think a lot of people have the stereotypical mindset that accounting is boring and it only involves taxes and a bunch of numbers. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There is never a dull moment in public accounting. I love solving puzzles, and my profession satisfies this Rubik’s-Cube-like hunger no other one thing could.
My life outside of VT Accounting
When I’m not at work, I love traveling and camping with my family, date nights with my beautiful wife, backpacking in the Sierras, working out with my CrossFit friends, playing the piano, — and dreaming of retirement on a sunny golf course.
